Our performance season at work starts this Saturday, October 25th, which makes this week the beloved Tech Week. Luckily, I work in the office, so my part is a step removed from the intense work that happens at the theatre.
Coincidentally, my friend R. comes into town this week so the Tea Girls can work on the last revisions on the script. My life tends to do this: when it rains, it pours, and I try desperately to get some sleep in between raindrops.
At least the script will be done before November 1st, which is when Non-fiction writing month starts.
I have the tickle of an oncoming cold in the back of my throat, so I'm drowning in orange juice, vitamin C, Benadryl, and lots of water. I'm very tempted by
eleanor's description of hot buttered rum as a cold remedy. I may try that before bed tonight.
Today I start my weekly volunteering at Bluestockings Bookstore. I'll be there from 4-7 today, working at the cafe, if anyone wants to drop by and say hello. I've never worked at a cafe before, nor have I ever done any kind of retail work, so this will be interesting. Let's hope that I don't scald myself making tea or something.
