It must be fall
Sep. 30th, 2003 08:44 amThe air is crisp outside and it's cool enough inside to snuggle under the thick covers without a fan blowing all night long. And I had the impulse to have oatmeal for breakfast today. Tonight, I might even make homemade chicken noodle soup.
Another tell-tale sign is that the stinky fruits are falling from the trees along DeKalb, and being crushed into fart-smells by pedestrians. When I went on my bike ride on Sunday, the guys in the park were picking up bags and bags of them.
This means we get an extra hour soon, right?

Date: 2003-09-30 06:18 am (UTC)Ginkos were imported from Japan sometime in the 1800s, and with good reason. They're the perfect urban tree; they have shallow roots, are attractive, don't spread too much, and resist pollution. THe foul smelling fruits of the female ginko is the only disadvantage.
