If I walk up and down the stairs once, my nasal congestion clears up.

Will someone remind me of this when I wake up tonight, gasping for breath through my mouth?

Thank you.

An old humidifier

When I was a kid, a huge old humidifier, which steamed up a giant tank of water into steam, served to ward off the disabilities of which you complain. Steamy. Also Hall's mentholyptus! Great stuff! simply great.
I hope you soon feel better. It comes from living outside Texas.

I tell ya, most of my problems stem from leaving the balmy Gulf Coast. Thanks for the advice!

You know, a nice spritz of Afrin would take care of that without forcing you to run up and down stairs in the wee hours.

Thanks for the reminder -- I forgot that I had some nose-snorty-stuff sitting in my medicine cabinet that I will promptly snort.

Do you a) sleep next to an open window b) sleep next to a blowing fan c) sleep with air conditioning or d) say a prayer to the Snot Fairy before you lay thee down to sleep?

All of the above cause sleepytimes congestion for me, though in this humidity your Houstonized lungs may be very much in their element.

A) no
B) a-ha!
C) double a-ha!
D) How did you know about the Snot Fairy? She's my favorite. You leave snot under your pillow and you get a quarter. Amazing exchange! Perhaps she and the Tooth Fairy are in cahoots, building their retirement castle somewhere in the sky.

Good advice. Thank you!

Yes, a retirement castle built of bicuspids and hocked loogies, held together by the mysterious harvests of the third in their triumvirate, The Goo Fairy.
