The biggest smile in the world

The man at the front desk called up and says, "There's a UPS package for J. down here." There are two J.'s at my office, so I went down expecting a package for my boss. After all, I'd already gotten my L.L. Bean boots and my cool eBay toy.

Downstairs, he handed me a small box from Kenro Industries, wrapped with packing tape with "Aurora" all over it.

My broken pen. Gulp.

My heart fell a little; I was certain that they'd taken one look at it and said, "Nope, this can't be fixed, send it back to her with our condolences." I only sent it in a week ago. I smelled trouble.

So I came upstairs and opened the package to find my original letter on top. I sadly pulled it out, fearing the worst, and a small card fell out:

AURORA

with compliments


! I hurried to open the box -- my original pen box -- and pulled out my pen -- Completely Fixed!

I'm grinning like a cheshire cat to have my pen back, and in working order. I missed the old familiar scuff marks, and the whisper of ink stain around the bottom of the pen, where I put the cap while I'm writing.

Now, with three fountain pens in my possession, the question is -- how do I choose which one to use when?

Fill each one with a different color ink and choose the color you feel like using that day!

Or do what I do and pick the one that writes the way you feel like writing.
