This morning, I walked past him again, and someone has placed a nice red and pink scarf around his neck, and a floral wreath on his head. I laughed out of wonder. How fantastic!

One of these days I'll get myself a digital camera to take pictures of lovely things like this. Until then, I depend on other web users to post pictures, and, unfortunately, I can't find a single good picture of this statue! When I find one, I'll post it.

My friend seventhsister visited Japan last year, where it is customary to knit caps and scarves for the statues. Some even get little coats.
