Sketchy Details
Oct. 24th, 2002 08:52 amI'm sorry to keep commenting on this, but this whole sniper fiasco is ridiculous.
This ludicrous quote was in the New York Times article entitled: "Details Sketchy, West Coast Site is Searched": (the bold is mine)
"While Chief Moose was careful not to call the two suspects, one federal law-enforcement official, said: 'We're not ready to call them suspects, but we suspect them. We want to talk to them. We really want to talk to them.' "
Yeah-- there's a reason why that guy or gal didn't put their name in the paper-- because they sound like bumbling idiots!
I used to be a little paranoid, thinking that the government could find me anywhere, see what I'm always doing, etc. But PLEASE!! Clearly I have nothing to worry about, as they can't even fucking find this sniper, nor could they find the person behind the anthrax threats, nor could Bush find Bin Laden, the golden ring of his presidency. This is truly outrageous. What's the good of being a superpower if you have no power??
/frustrated rant
