The media has become the messenger
Oct. 12th, 2006 07:26 amHas it happened, has the media indeed become the message? Or at least the spam?

their own language. Marshal McLuhan was convinced that the arcade games could be fulfilled by simply sitting in front of designer is an architect than probably a building plan."

Marshall McLuhan on arcade games: Pac-Man is cold media, Ms. Pac-Man is HOT media.
Date: 2006-10-12 02:33 pm (UTC)I've been getting just a ton of these lately, with hyperbolic stock price predictions attached. I don't care about the stock prices, but the intricate combination of academic writing, literary excerpts (I've received selections from Wuthering Heights) and "Engrish" that's attached makes for some wacky reading. "For it was without an encounter that Gatsby would break down hot communication. except the batteries, drawing in can easily pass from one gear to another without a duck." It sure is an elaborate way to fool the spam filters.
What I wanna know is if I can beat Marshall McLuhan at Mortal Kombat. Watch, I'll just about have him beaten and he'll pull the old "MEDIALITY!" move and turn me into a television. Bastard.
