I'm hopping on LJ to commiserate with all of my other LJ folks who have recently posted about the heat. It is so gross. I miss central air conditioning right about now. Most of the inanimate objects in our apartment now have their own heat. I lean against the kitchen counter and it's warm. I pick up a glass and it's warm. We lay down on our bed the other night, and it was so warm and soft that I exclaimed, "It's like lying on a person!"

Please, dear Lord, don't fry us off the planet just yet. We really are trying to be good.

Georgie Porgy Bubble and Squeak

I know it's supposed to be a "stick-it-to-Bush" kind of animation, but honestly, it's so damn hot that his bouncy freefall through a cool white landscape looks kind of relaxing. Just a moment ago, he fell into child's pose on my screen, and I was a little jealous.

Heat and Humidity

Here the heat's rough. Air at work on the
blitz. Makes for tiring days sometimes.
But, the humidity is so high that it is
hard to breathe. If this keeps up, the
next generation will probably have gills!
