Awwww freak out!
Jan. 24th, 2006 12:19 pmOur dog freaked out this morning. Our ceiling has sprung another leak, this one near the lofted bedroom area, which means the water falls from about twenty feet up. Our dog was the one who discovered the leak when a drop fell on him, which triggered his extreme anxiety. (I can understand. I'd be freaked out if unexplained wetness started falling on me inside the house.)
He's done this before. He paces around the house, looking for a place to hide. As soon as he finds one (under the table by my feet, or in the corner by the bookshelf), he pauses, then decides it's not good enough.
This morning, as I sat at the table and wrote, he climbed up into the chair to my right and sat down, looking at me. Every once in a while, he'd sneak his paw up and try to stand on the table, but I'd say, "No!" and he'd quickly withdraw it, staring at me with innocent eyes. He looked like an impatient dinner guest trying to sneak the last piece of cake.
Right now, I think he's curled up in the bathtub.
