If you could have any job in the world (currently existing or yet-to-be-invented) with the guarantee that it would support you financially, what would it be?

Gimme your big dreams, people.

I would be paid to write whatever I want for three or four hours every day, nap for an hour, and then talk to interesting and cool people all over the world for the rest of the day.

Okay, that may just be a warm-up. I might have a crazier, more wonderful job in here somewhere.

My day would be like yours except the afternoon would be free for volunteering, daydreaming, traveling, hanging out, interviewing, reading and walking. Of course my 3-4 hours of writing every day would finance everything and then some. Oh yeah, and I'd have health insurance. And if I needed a week or two off from the daily writing that would be okay too.

Mmm, big dream.

Daydreaming! Reading! Resting! I completely forgot those parts of the day, and you are very wise to include them. Also, the optional breaks are important.

Daydreaming... mmmargghhh....

Seems like a theme here... maybe we should all find that rich benefactor who wants to support excellent young female voices! I'm sure if I post that on Craigslist I won't get any creepy responses...

I think I'd run a small cafe/shop that sold tea whatever I felt like baking, friends' art, and conversations/lessons on various subjects (I love the idea of a cafe where you don't have to buy anything). It'd be open irregular hours, it'd have a huge kitchen in which I could play, and my friends would all be involved in the space somehow. I want early mornings to myself, long dinners, and lots of time to be part of something big and social.

I love this idea! I would totally hang out in a space like that.

A superhero

It doesn't have to involve battling against arch-villains, or fighting crime. Just to be able to spend enough time to discover what some other people try to battle against, what seemingly impossible things they are up against, and help tip the scales in their favour. But then, sometimes fighting crime is a part of it...

I love the idea of a mysterious and anonymous someone tipping the scales.
