Prayers to everyone in New Orleans

I can't even believe what I'm reading on the Times website: "A day after Katrina ripped through here, city officials announced that they were moving their government out of town, which they said was 80 percent under increasingly contaminated water, and state officials ordered everyone else except emergency workers to evacuate as well." These pictures don't make any sense at all.

I mean, 80 percent under contaminated water? This is so terrifying. I can only imagine. I send my prayers, along with many others.
