Hairstylist Question
Mar. 14th, 2005 07:54 amToday, I'm getting a free haircut from a stylist at a fancy schmancy salon university here in the city. The cut would usually cost $85-$100, but since she's a student being retrained in the salon's techniques, it's free.
My question is: do I tip? (I'm assuming that yes, I do.) How much?
Thanks for your guidance, oh wise ones!

Date: 2005-03-14 03:59 pm (UTC)I've worked under the principle 15% is the usual tip for decent service - 20% if its outstanding. So, since it would have cost you a minimum of $85 'normally', I'd say a $20 would be fair.
