Whoa. Just finished watching "Network" for the first time. Dude. It took me a while to get drawn in, but once those killer monologues started coming, I was hooked. The accuracy is frightening. I'm mad impressed.

the "mad as hell" scene and the intimacy scene are real cult classics!

That scene with Dunaway is darkly funny and really makes a deeper point.

A tremendous and devastating movie, too often overlooked.

I would like to see a smart, scary update of Network with allowances for changing media. Same basic script, but with modern menace. It's not all that dated, but it could really pack a wallop in new clothes. It's the kind of film we need now.

Just saw it again myself; that scene where they're discussing the ratings benefit of on-air suicides made me want to check over Fox's fall programming schedule.
