Reply to this post and...

1. I will tell you what song reminds me of you.
2. I will tell you what celebrity/public/fictional person you remind me of, either personality-wise or looks-wise.
3. I will give you one word that I associate with you when I think of you.
4. I will tell you what color(s) I associate with you.

Then steal this for your journal and make someone else's day as well.

****I should make the disclaimer that I'm making these comparisons all on gut reactions. I have no idea what may come out!****

I was trying not to explain my choices, but these are just too strange not to.

There's something about your journaling style that reminds me of Bridget Jones, the book. I have no idea what it is. And The Thorns, because I remember you posting something about them once.

I was reading everyones and I found Pavlov's bell...by aimee mann...interesting especially coming from a Psychology major. What is the song about?

Date: 2005-01-27 07:46 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] sun-set-bravely.livejournal.com
You know, I have no idea what the song's about. I think it's about a couple who's having communication problems, but I never really thought more about the meaning of Pavlov's Bell. Here's the lyrics, though:

Oh, Mario,
Sit here by the window;
Stay here 'til we reach Idaho,
And when we go, hold my hand on take-off.
Tell me what I already know:

That we can't talk about it.
No, we can't talk about it.

Because nobody knows,
that's how I nearly fell,
trading clothes
and ringing Pavlov's Bell.
History shows
there's not a chance in hell.

But, oh, Mario, we're only to Ohio.
It's kinda getting harder to breathe.
I won't let it show,
I'm all about denial
But can't denial let me believe

That we could talk about it?
But we could talk about it

Because nobody knows,
that's how I nearly fell,
trading clothes
and ringing Pavlov's Bell.
History shows
but rarely shows it well.

Well, well, well

Oh, Mario, why if this is nothing,
I'm finding it's so hard to dismiss.
If you're what I need,
then only you can save me,
so come on baby give me the fix

and let's just talk about it.
I've got to talk about it.

Because nobody knows.
that's how I nearly fell,
trading clothes
and ringing Pavlov's Bell.
History shows
like it was show and tell

So tell me...
That's how I nearly fell...
by ringing Pavlov's bell...
So, baby, show and tell...
Oh, Mario, Mario

Psst.

I realize there's probably a statute of limitations on posts and/or memes of this nature, but:

a) I figured this was far back enough that nobody's looking
b) I cannot resist this meme, no matter how hard I try
c) what I was really doing was looking for "The Good, The Bleh, and The Ugly, Part One", but since you didn't link to it, I had to do all this digging and I came across this and figured what the hizzell
d) it's been awhile since I done spoked to ya and wanted to find out how your weekend went and wanted to thank you for lending us a Chris last weekend and wanted to say yippee about first weekend in March and yeah.

And I always give in return, so...

1) "Good Enough" by Sarah McLachlan. More the music than the lyrics (although they're kinda appropriate, too); warm fireside acoustic guitar with a punchy but not maudlin dose of nostalgia and sympathy. It feels good. More than good enough. Same for you.
2) Laura Nyro, straight up. From like the first time I met you. I'm surprised you're not a fan, actually.
3) "Relaxed". I mean, I know you get stressed, but I can't recall seeing it.
4) Burgundy/maroon on a velvety sort of fabric. You'd make a good plush toy.

Be still my heart! It's a joy beyond joys to see your face in these here parts. I'm glad that the old meme lured you out of retirement. :)

It's funny -- I know nothing of Laura Nyro. I checked out her website and indeed, there are some physical similarities happening here. I'll have to investigate her music.

And here are my answers for you. Again, going on gut instinct here, so who knows what will happen!

1) this one is a tie between:
*"Cold as Ice" by Foreigner (because you're just the karaoke king, dammit! I've never been that impressed by someone doing karaoke before)
*"Electro Glide in Blue" (First, last, and always, dude.)

2) Jesus. Yeah, weird, I know -- and it's not the hair, it's the eyes. You've got some of the kindest, gentlest, warmest eyes I've ever seen.

3) Kindhearted

4) Grey (with an "e", because that grey is warmer than the one with an "a")

So it's true; you're coming down on the first weekend of March? Yippee!
