These, of course, are lyrics from the Barenaked Ladies' "Jane," a charming love song from their 1995 release. I randomly got the song in my head doing research for Woodhull today. (Did you know that there's a Janesville, Wisconsin?)

That name combination had been boggling my mind for years. So I did a Google search and found that these two musicians were sometimes linked as a romantic couple. There you go. One small space in my mind cleared out for more important things.

And now, to the couch.

Not only did I know that, I spent a good three days at a wedding in Janesville. I wouldn't say you were missing everything-- the good time I had was entirely due to Erik and Dan being there.

No way! Well, I'm glad that I'm not missing anything. Woodhull is doing a retreat in Chicago in November, so I spent the day online scouting organizations within four driving hours of Chicago that might be interested. I don't remember if Janesville made the cut or not.

My vague memory is that Evan Dando was linked with EVERYONE in his era. His fame as a boyfriend sold more papers than the Lemonheads ever sold records. Which is too bad, really, because the Lemonheads were cool.
