Itchy soles

In the past two days, I've received e-mail newsletters showing unbelievable fares: $59 each way to Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, Ft. Myers, West Palm Beach or New Orleans, and $179 round trip to London or Manchester. I just seriously considered flying out to London just for the hell of it. Not that I have the money right now, but it was very, very tempting.

It's coming up on one year since my first solo vacation to Hilton Head, SC. I'd like to make a solo vacation an annual tradition. This year might have to be a little closer to home, with my financial restraints, but I want to do it.

Heh -- you know I've still got all of your awesome advice about Nova Scotia from last year on my computer somewhere. One of these days, I am going to get up there.

Nova Scotia was beautiful, but I would recommend Prince Edward Island in a heartbeat. That was so gorgeous. You can take the car over on a ferry (same way you'd get to Halifax), and it's just.. kind of hard to describe. Not staggering, picturesque beauty, but a more quiet, almost half-foreign, endless seas of grasses and flowers and rickety shops and towns beauty. There are some amazing rock formations on the coast, too. my 2 cents. :)

Man, I should do that. Solo vacations sound awesome.

I highly recommend them. They can be a little more expensive than vacations with others, since you don't have anyone to share the expense with, but you get to do 100% what you want to do. It's a great experience.
