So I'm working two part-time non-writing gigs as of yesterday (which add up to a full-time job), and my mind is blown away. After writing full-time for the last four months, I feel kind of like I'm jumping out of the hot tub and into a pool in January in Maine.
But they're temporary, and the gig with Woodhull allows me to call people four hours a day and talk about the organization, which I love to do anyway. The other gig is an organizational one, and my mind is almost soothed by the simple task of alphabetizing someone's small CD collection.
In other news, we're taking a surprise trip to Boston this weekend to see the gang, which I'm super-excited about. I may even make it to Fashion District, if I'm lucky.

Date: 2004-08-19 02:58 pm (UTC)As for Maine, I've actually never been there. I've only heard tales of the cold winters, so I thought it would be the best location for my cold-pool analogy. :)
Hope all is well with you!

Date: 2004-08-19 08:27 pm (UTC)in other non-related business, you wouldn't happen to have any kind of birthday wish list, would you? some of us need to be shopping for... things.

Date: 2004-08-20 12:08 pm (UTC)You know, I don't have much of a wish list this year, just because I don't have much room in the apartment for any new things! But you know, I got a year's worth of ink from the gift certificate you gave me last birthday. So, uh, yeah.
