Rob Brezsny's horoscope for this week
Jul. 1st, 2004 02:21 pmVIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): This may be the turning point your grandchildren will tell stories about years from now: the time you leap over the abyss to the other side of the Great Divide and begin your life in earnest. On the other hand, this moment of truth may end up being nothing more than a brief awakening when you glimpse what's possible on the other side of the Great Divide, but then tell yourself, "Nah, that's waayyyy too far to jump." In that case, your grandchildren will have to be content talking about what delicious cookies you used to bake or what your favorite sports team was. It will all depend on how brave you'll be.

This is such an aggravating horoscope. As if baking cookies wasn't living life in earnest. And at the same time, leaping over the abyss sounds so tempting. Goes to show you that horoscopes can sometimes be accurate, and sometimes just be vaguely good advice for everyone.

Date: 2004-07-02 04:20 pm (UTC)Goodness, but what is a sane, detail-oriented, perfectionist-driven Virgo to think with a horoscope like this!?!
I wish I could bake good cookies so learning how to break a great cookie to share with people would be crossing the great divide in a big way for me.
However, I am going to Maui to visit a friend and that is also crossing a great divide.
Mmm... You're right. It is a bit aggravating, but I'm still addicted to horoscopes, especially when they contradict each other.
