It's been raining off and on all day today. I'm blaming my lack of focus today on the changeable weather. One minute, I want to curl up on the windowsill and watch the rain, and the next, the sun is shining and making me feel guilty for my inactivity.

Despite this temporary lull, things are Very Very Good. I've spent the last three days in the company of some of the most brilliant minds I know, and I've come away with my sediment disrupted, which is a good thing. I'll examine all of the sparkling dust that's been rustled up, and then it will settle down again, leaving only the ocean's clarity of my dreams.

And tomorrow night, I'm going to North Carolina for four days to celebrate the wedding of two lovely, beautiful people. We'll all be staying near the beach. And I found not one, but two -- TWO! -- bikinis for the occasion.

There is movement, and it is sweeping me along. I am happy to go for the ride.

ha ha...i've had the same experience with the weather here--putting on slow blues music and thinking to go get some warm drink like hot cocoa or tea, then walking outside and it's sunny and hot and all the sudden a hot drink doesn't seem quite right...then back inside, look out the window and it's raining again...

in another weird connect, I too am going to the NC beach for a wedding this weekend...you aren't by chance friends with my little brother (B) and his fiancee (J) are you? that would be just too odd...probably unlikely, as I imagine there's lots of folks getting married at the beach in June...

Haha, that would be funny! But I'm going to a wedding for J & J, so I doubt we'll see each other there. But congratulations on your brother's wedding. Very exciting!
