After who knows how many Live Journal posts from this apartment, I'm finally making my last one. The holes in my walls are filled, the floor is clean, the closet is clear, and the corners have been clapped out. I've said goodbye to the tree outside my window and the birds who sit on its branches and sing. I've said goodbye to the view. It's not mine anymore. And, amazingly, I'm okay with that. I'm ready for the new, because the new is so, so good.

I'm sitting on the couch, waiting for my last loads of laundry to finish. Henry is sacked out on his side on the floor, his tail and back feet twitching in a dream. CL is sitting at my side, and we're watching a Food Network show about blueberries. We're laughing, and this is just the beginning.

Actually, I'm already moved, mostly. Last night was just the finishing up of all the cleaning tasks, and saying goodbye to my old room. I'm mostly unpacked at the new place, except for those nagging small items that just won't find a home. I'm procrastinating more than I'm finishing the unpacking these days.
