sun_set_bravelyI had wide ranging dreams last night:
*I was floating in the clear blue Pacific Ocean off a beach in Hawaii. The sand was smooth and perfect.
*I was watching a violent action movie where three women were driving behind a police car and suddenly their car hit the police car so hard that their bodies were thrown through the cars and their faces were cut into small squares by the wire grate in the back seat of the cop car. Only one woman survived, and she realized that she lived only because there was an enormous, scary, super-human monster coming to get her.
*I was writing an academic paper about Eminem's "Lose Yourself", especially highlighting his excellent use of internal rhyme.
There were other parts, but I don't remember them now.
I forgot to wish Gloria Steinem a happy 70th birthday yesterday.

And you should have seen my students jaws drop when they saw
all the stickers that you had sent.
Today is Friday so it's STICKER DAY for them
and I will try to capture some of their
squealing delight on camera for you. :D
