Thanks! Yeah, I have no news yet. I have to remember that they're understaffed right now, so they're probably super-busy, and she just hasn't gotten a moment to call yet. But I had a tension headache all day yesterday from the waiting. Arg!!

Thank you! It was only half a gauge wider in diameter than my opal nose ring, so there was a little pressure when they put it in, but it's fine now.

Oh! How funny that you posted this. I made an appt to get one done this past Tuesday but changed my mind. I'll do it during the summer when I'm off work. But I have wanted one for a couple of years now.

What's the after-care like? Haven't had a piercing done in 20 years at least.

I LOVE my piercing. I got it done in May 2001, and this is the first time I've changed it, just because I'm super-cautious.

The after-care was simple! In the first two months, I gently cleaned it with watered down Bactine once a day, and did a warm epsom salt water soak twice a day. I never had any problems with infection or pain. It was sore on the day after I got it done, but after that, it was a breeze.

Oops, I actually got it pierced in 2002, one year after I graduated from college. The date is now my do-something-that-scares-me anniversary -- every year on or around that date, I make a change in my life (big or small) that scares me a little.

I'm not sure yet what I'm doing this May. If this job possibility falls through, the scary thing might be quitting my day job altogether and jumping in the deep end of a creative writing career! We'll see!
