Shining Star, and Adhesive Bras

Tonight is Woodhull's annual Shining Star Showcase, and I'm anxious to get dressed up and leave work now. I'll be wearing a fabulous black cocktail dress with shimmery teal tights. schpahky, you would be proud of me.

The cut of the dress is such that I have to wear those strange but effective sticky bras. They are so bizarre! heidilouwho, do you remember these from high school? I don't remember how we managed to apply them in a way that didn't cause great pain when they were removed. I wore them with this same dress for New Year's, and I was in tears by the time I got them off. Yowza! Hopefully, tonight will be less painful.

Try baby oil, or some other body oil, if you've not done that before: rubbing it over, and working it under the edges slowly.

Oh, I wore those for a friend's wedding and had to stand under a hot shower for 20 minutes before I could remove them. Ow ow. But they definitely work!

for some reason i'm surprised that it's the same exact woman on the cover - but yes, i still remember those... they sho' do work, definitely better than those daisy shaped nipple covers (has anyone ever tried those? you can actually see their outlines under your shirt, which really sucks).

I've seen those daisy nipple covers. They seem weird, and kind of pointless. Why not just put a freakin' band-aid over them, if they're going to show through your shirt anyway?

It's still the same woman, and on the back, the founder of the company is there -- I don't remember seeing her before. She's very, um, manly, and kind of looks like a drag queen. But she sure is proud of her product!

You know, I didn't get a single picture of myself with my camera. Hopefully I'll get some from someone else. You all will be the first to know! The tights went over well, but I think I could have even gone flashier. Next time, next time...
