Sticky information

sun_set_bravelyIt's been over ten years since my best friends and I had enormous crushes on Christian Bale and memorized every fact about him. Some of the information has gone away. An alarming amount, however, has stuck with me. When I was home for Christmas, my sister and I listened to a few songs from the "Newsies" soundtrack in the car, and we were both astonished that we still know all the lyrics, harmonies, and even some of the choreography to the numbers.
And this morning when I first wrote the date: 1/30/04, my brain hesitated over the numbers, and it took me a moment to realize why. It's Christian Bale's birthday. When I verified that fact on IMDB, I noticed that it's his 30th birthday.
How my brain remembers this information, I'll never know. But I'll never cease to be amused by it.

Date: 2004-01-30 10:00 am (UTC)Ok, so I've owned that movie since I was 14 and have always, and will always be in love with... Gabriel Damon. Not Christian Bale. Though Christian Bale gets hotter every time I see that movie, it's all about Spot.
The funniest part is that he's Matt Damon's brother, and I will always, years and years later look at Matt Damon The Incredibly Huge MegaStar and go, "yeah, you're just nothing compared to your brother.."

The only film I really love Matt Damon in is Good Will Hunting. Everything else, meh. Whatever happened to Gabriel? I think that was the last major film he was in? I've always been curious about that.
And on the major superfan front, I definitely had pictures of Spot taped by my bed and my friend and I had this huge plan to drive to his hometown and circle his house until he came out to get groceries or something. *hides head in shame*
