NYC in the cold
Jan. 14th, 2004 04:38 pmThe most disgusting things about New York City in the sub-freezing cold are:
1) Frozen liquid trash trails that snake from the exits of restaurants and delis to the curbs out front,
and
2) Frozen splats of vomit on the sidewalks. Really. I just can't take it.

In other news, my bedroom has been so cold for the past few nights that I've woken up to a fully ice-crusted window. (my landlords know about it and are hopefully fixing the problem soon.) I've only lived in NYC for seven years, so I have a limited perspective, but this is by far the coldest weather I've ever experienced here. For those of you who live in even colder climes, how do you do it?

Date: 2004-01-14 08:41 pm (UTC)It was, like, SEVENTY today. People frolicking about outside in shorts and tank tops.
I want something in the middle of what you've got and what I've got.
