The Art of Doing Nothing
Dec. 2nd, 2003 08:26 pmIt's really difficult for me to sit around and do nothing. I'm trying to keep my evenings free this week to relax. This means no reading the script, no thinking about future scripts, no stressing about not writing, no cleaning. Just relaxing and enjoying downtime.
The problem is, my monkey mind jumps and thinks of things I could be doing. It gets on the internet and looks up random movie trivia, checks my bank balance, checks my friends page even when no one is updating. It starts another knitting project and convinces me that knitting is kind of like doing nothing.
All right. Off goes the computer. Off goes the TV. Upstairs goes the
sun_set_bravely, and on go the candles. Let's see how this goes.
